Hospital
Fire Marshals' Association - The HFMA is an association
of 350+ members from locations along the east coast
mid-atlantic states but include members as far flung
as Connecticut, Florida, Texas, Minnesota, even Saudi
Arabia. The HFMA holds monthly luncheons with guest
speakers on topics such as: OSHA, JCAHO, NIOSH, Performance
Improvement, measuring performance, Fire Drills, Occupational
Safety, Industrial Hygiene, MSDS, Ergonomics, and more.
HFMA also publishes a monthly newsletter for members. |
Hotel
& Casino Security Association - Through expertise
and experience the Hotel and Casino Security Association
(H.C.S.A.) aims at resolving problems and giving sound
advice in all matters pertaining to security to its
members and other interested parties. The H.C.S.A. is
comprised of security, loss control and risk managers
together with senior management from the hospitality
industry who meet on a bi-monthly basis. From time to
time experts with relevant fields are invited to make

International
Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI)
- The International Association of Auto Theft Investigators
(IAATI) was formed in 1952 in order to improve communication
and coordination among the growing family of professional
auto theft investigators. It has grown to over 3,000
members representing over 35 countries and includes
representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well
as many others with a legitimate interest in auto theft
investigation, prevention and education. The IAATI membership
also includes the insurance industry, automobile manufacturers,
car rental companies and, of course, the National Insurance
Crime Bureau and its sister agencies in Canada and Europe.

(IAHSSP) - The International Association of Home
Safety and Security Professionals, Inc. is a trade association.
Membership is open to security consultants, alarm-systems
installers, locksmiths, security officers, law enforcement
officers, distributors and others who provide safety
or security related services or products to, for, or
about the residential market.

- The International Association for Healthcare Security

Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) - The
International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO)
was established as a non-profit organization in January
1988 for the purpose of facilitating the training and
certification needs of protection officers and security
supervisors from both the commercial and proprietary
sectors. The IFPO developed a number of comprehensive
distance delivery styled courses; the Entry Level Protection
Officer (ELPO), the Basic Protection Officer (BPO),
the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program, the
Security Supervisor (SSP) program, and the Certified
Security Supervisor (CSS) program. All programs are
designed to be completed through home study. The Foundation
also publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Protection

(NASIR) - The purpose of the Association is to enhance
the members' ability to regulate, and assist in promoting
professionalism of the security, investigative, alarm
and related industries. Specific goals to assist the

and regulation; insurance/bonds; reciprocity between
states; participation in federal legislation; training
for regulatory investigators; formulation of a model
law; industry training and education. |

Association of Security Personnel (NASP) - Information/resources
for individuals, company owners and users of security
services in Canada. Not a union, NASP provides support
services and information to its members while working
to improve Canada's security industry. NASP also provides

Protection Association of Canada - The Professional
Protection Association of Canada was originally founded
in 1987 to provide professional development opportunities
for the Private Investigation and Security Industry.

Association of South Africa (SASA) - The Security
Association of South Africa is registered as a non-profit
company and is a voluntary association of security professionals
dedicated to the enhancement of closer ties between
various security disciplines and the upliftment and
maintenance of service standards within the industry.

African Security Federation (SASFED) - The South
African Security Federation was created in 1986 following
a suggestion from the Minister of Law and Order that
the security industry "get its act together"
and have one body to represent the multitude of associations
that existed within the industry. SASFED currently represents
17 national security, or security-related organizations
covering more than 200 000 employees in the field of

Texas
Burglar and Fire Alarm Association - Presents an
effective voice for alarm users. Working with Texas
city and county officials, the TBFAA lends a hand in
